[Abstract]
In Weber's thought there are two imaginations of capitalism: one is rational capitalism and the other is the spirit of capitalism originated from the protestant ethic. Through re-reading the book The Protestant Ethic and the Spirit of Capitalism, this paper explores the relationship between the two types of capitalism in Weber's thought, and then further deepens the understanding of the essence and foundation of the interplay between capitalist economy and capitalist life.
