Colleagues from Xiamen University's School of Sociology and Anthropology Visit Department of Sociology at Tsinghua University
In order to promote inter-university cooperation in the fields of sociology and anthropology, promote the sharing of academic resources, and provide broader academic horizons for teachers and students, a delegation from the School of Sociology and Anthropology of Xiamen University visited the Department of Sociology at Tsinghua University on November 29 for exchanges on discipline development, talent training and academic cooperation.
Prof. Wang Tianfu, Vice Dean of the School of Social Sciences and Chair of the Department of Sociology at Tsinghua University, firstly welcomed the colleagues from Xiamen University, and introduced to the delegation the long history, resumption, faculties, representative studies, disciplines, and talent training of the Department of Sociology at Tsinghua University.
Wang Xiaoli, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Sociology and Anthropology, introduced the basic information about the colleagues from Xiamen University and the development status and future planning of the School. Hu Rong, Dean of the School of Sociology and Anthropology, had in-depth exchanges with teachers from the Department of Sociology at Tsinghua University on their respective resources and platforms, student cultivation programs and faculty team development. The two sides said they would carry out more extensive cooperation in academic research, teacher training and student exchange to jointly promote the development of sociology and anthropology.
Present were Deputy Secretary Chen Yi of the Party Committee, Deputy Dean Feng Wenhui, Chair Gong Haoqun of the Department of Anthropology and Ethnology, and Director Pan Yan of the General Office, and Party Affairs Secretary Liu Meijun from the School of Sociology and Anthropology, as well as Associate Chairs Jin Jun and Zheng Lu, and teachers Sun Xiulin, Du Yue and Li Xiaoyu from the Department of Sociology at Tsinghua University.
